Live from NYC (yesterday :)
I took a train into NYC. Looking out the window, I could see the Hudson crushed up against her shores, like huge shards of glass. So cold here. So, so cold.
But I didn't mind. I was going to meet Brooke Campbell for the first time.
Sorry, Brooke, first the restroom in the IAM space. Priorities, see? :)
I read poetry, she played guitar. And we shared a bag of honey-roasted peanuts I brought from home. (Did you finish the bag? I don't remember. :)
Brooke takes things with a grain of salt, I think. And she sings about sugar spoons. Beautifully.
Want to see the whole program? Slide over to about the 2 minute/30 second point to avoid the ... two minute/30 second lag time! :)

Enjoyed it immensely. As a total aside, I loved Brooke's shoes. And your sweater. :)
It all worked out beautifully. I enjoyed hearing the full program this morning.
It was beautiful! The poems were all the more meaningful with your voice as their body. And you read my favorite (well one): Return to Sloansville. Not to mention Mr. Cardinal in his g-string. I laughed out loud.
We had company and dragged my girlfriend into the computer room to watch while our husbands drank beer and ate nachos. She really enjoyed you too. Don't my friends have good taste?
Just as I tweeted last night: I'm so proud of you.
two good voices.
two beautiful women.
two pair of cute shoes.
one great show.
What a joy to be able to see and hear you. I am enjoying the poems, but it is so nice to hear your voice reading them.
You did a wonderful job - I'm proud of you too.
And you looked absolutely terrific!
I was spellbound by both of you. What a way to end the evening. Thank you.
That was great to participate in, even if it was from Cali...a few days later. Thanks for sharing.
AND thanks for the chance to get to see you! I have wondered for so long and I was happily surprised to both see and hear from you, my sweet friend!!
Muuuu-Wah!

I think nAncY's comment covered it :-) Such a blast!
Oooh, lovely!! Something to look forward to when I return from work. :o)
Sounds like it was a beautiful evening!!
I managed to watch a few seconds of it on the weekend, and was just so thrilled.
This is on my must listen to in a quiet time list.
Thank you for providing the link for us.
Some very cool pictures
Greetings :)
It was awesome! Great job LL! Wish I was there...
Hope you had fun in NYC! Here's a poem I had to scratch out the other night, and I suppose it fits the concept of stewardship since we definitely steward our children well when we live in the now, I think. http://evenifiambeingpoured.blogspot.com/2010/02/baby-blues.html
Thanks for the prompt.
Neat. Cold, but looks like you had fun. Brooke has a wonderful voice. My book budget money has been out in recent weeks, but I still much look forward to getting your new book of poetry soon and reading it, and learning to connect and go in something I'm just not familiar with. But it really does interest me.
